Unable to activate cPanel trial

I installed the cPanel on centos EC2 VM. But when I try to activate the trial license, I get this error:

Error: The system failed to update the license on your cPanel & WHM server.

I verified the cPanel IP here - https://verify.cpanel.net/ but didn't find any license associated to it. 

What am I missing here? Any help would be appreciated !!

  If your trial license is not showing up on https://verify.cpanel.net/ , I recommend getting in contact with our Customer Service team so they can assist you with activating the Trial license:
