PureFTPD reports disk is full
AnsweredHello,
One of our servers reached 99% (or a bit over it) disk usage and PureFTPD stopped accepting user uploads with a message "553 Disk full - please upload later".
Server still had 30gb of free disk space, but indeed it was less than 1%. I have disabled setting "MaxDiskUsage" in PureFTPD config file, but it seems it does not help. Any suggestion on how to disable this behavior?

Hi,
Did you make sure to restart the FTP service after applying the change in the configuration file? It could also be possible another limitation is being reached such as a cPanel quota or inode limit. If these suggestions don't help to get the issue resolved, I recommend opening a ticket so our team can take a closer look.

yes, i am quite sure, that i did restart pureFTP server after i disabled that option. I am sure it was not quota issue with customer.. Well, right now disk has been resized, but this software-limitation, even though sounds very sensible, should probably be done through fixed amount of space (e.g. 1GB), rather than percentage, as disks are way bigger now, but at the same time I understand, that it's not cPanel, who develop pureFTPD. :/ But as you can imagine - end users do not care about all that, they just panic and scream.
