Able to access WHM using server IP but not with domain name
I have installed cPanel in an AWS EC2 instance. I have created an Elastic IP for this server. Accessing both https://elasticip:2087 and https://domainname:2087 loads the WHM login screen. However, the root credentials are only accepted through https://elasticip:2087.
My domain is in Bigrock. I have created an A record there, pointing to the Elastic IP of the EC2 instance. Am I missing anything here?
I am even unable to access the cPanel. Accessing both https://elasticip:2083 and https://domainname:2083 loads the cPanel login screen. However, the root credentials don't work at all.

Ok, i will try to help here - Did you set up custom name servers? For me when. I did this I was able to access domain.com/whm, as well as domain.com:2087
Root works fine for me

Custom nameservers aren't required in order to get DNS working - DNS can be hosted remotely and the cPanel and WHM access pages will work just fine.
Since you are able to get to domain.com:2083, that tells me the DNS is working properly. However, you would access that page with the cPanel username and password. For root access to the server, you would access domain.com:2087 and login with the root username and password there.
Let me know if that helps!

I can SSH using the root credentials. I can also log in to WHM using the same credentials at https://serverip:2087. However, with the same credentials, I am unable to log in at https://domainname:2087. I can provide the exact IP address and/or domain name if needed.

I installed the cPanel via the command available on the official installation page. The installation was successful. As mentioned earlier, I can log in to WHM at least using the server IP. May I know what the username and password are for the cPanel login at https://serverip:2083? Is there a default username and password? Or do we need to create a cPanel account after logging in to the WHM?

Correct - you would need to create a cPanel account through WHM >> Create a New Account before you can log into cPanel at all.
