The cPanel logs showing wrong time
Hello,
My cPanel logs at /usr/local/cpanel/logs showing wrong time, for example:
Today is 2024-10-30, i login root account at 09:30 AM
But the login_log show "[2024-10-24 17:20:57 +0700] info [whostmgrd] - root - SUCCESS LOGIN whostmgrd"
I tried login again at 10:30 AM, but the time in logs file still show "2024-10-24 17:20:57"
I tried again at 11:30 AM, and time in log file still show ""2024-10-24 17:20:57".
It write new log line everytime i login, but time in the log is not update, it stuck at "2024-10-24 17:20:57".
This issue happen for other log file too, like access_log or session_log.
The system time is good, apache logs show the right time. Only cPanel log's time is wrong.
Please help me.
Thank you.

Hey there! This is actually expected behavior as the cPanel logs are recorded in UTC time. More details on that can be found here:

@cPRex
the OP told that they logged in 3 times, 9:30, 10:30 & 11:30, but the times in log files remain the same, "2024-10-24 17:20:57".0 -
OH - I clearly misread that as what was happening. So the time is just stuck and always showing the same time? Have you tried restarting the cPanel service on the machine to see if that changes the behavior?

Hello,
I restart cPanel service and still get this behavior.
Sometimes it go back to normal.
And sometimes, it write time 2024-10-24 17:20:57 (like picture bellow)
Thank you.

That's interesting, but I don't have a good explanation. It would likely be best to create a ticket so this could be examined directly on the server.
