DNS Cluster errors
DNS only server:
Standalone configured to web server 1
Standalone errors connecting to web server 2, says: "Could not communicate with remote API server."
Web Server 1:
Write only set to DNS only server
web server 2:
Has existing DNS cluster to a server that's being decommissioned soon.
Has write-only DNS to DNS only server, and on this side it does say "Server Active" under status.
When trying to connect DNS Only Server to web server 1, in the usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log, it says:
[2025-05-03 05:55:05 +0000] info [whostmgrd] Successfully verified signature for cpanel (key types: release).
[2025-05-03 05:55:09 +0000] warn [queueprocd] Server Error from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX: {web server 2} 403 Forbidden Access denied at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/perl/536/cpanel-lib/cPanel/PublicAPI.pm line 526.
Telnet port 2087 from dns only to web server 2 works.
Doesn't matter if firewalls are up or down
cphulk disabled on both boxes
Tried with full access rights on API key.
It DOES appear the DNS zones are propagated like they should be, based on some tests with "dig", but the error message is concerning.
Please advise.

Hey there! It looks like you're running into this false warning outlined here:
As long as the cluster is working and the zones are propagating, you can ignore that message.
