    Alternatively, you can turn off automatic updates in the csf Firewall Configuration file using the interface provided in WHM.

    WHM > ConfigServer Security & Firewall > [Firewall Configuration] button
    (The [Firewall Configuration] button is the first button in the "csf - ConfigServer Firewall" section of the main landing page for ConfigServer Security & Firewall in WHM).

    Once you're in the Configuration page, in the "Initial Settings" section at the top, just scroll a bit down to the bottom of that section and you should see "AUTO_UPDATES". Click the Off button.

    AUTO_UPDATES=Off

    Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the [Change] button.

    cPRex You may also want to add into the support page to remove

    /etc/cron.daily/csget

    I "beleive" that cron just tries to get a file with the latest verison of all the ConfigServer tools, but it will also fail, since the downloads sub-domain no longer exists.

    We just got hit with this. Given this is tightly integrated with WHM/CPanel and not something us users setup and add to our servers, what is the plan, if any, to replace CSF moving into the future? I see that they are apparently open sourcing it on github, so is CPanel looking to take over development of this project or are you looking to switch us all over to something different?

    CSF/LFD is and always has been installed by the user, it does NOT come with cPanel/WHM.

    Well I guess my reseller preconfigures it with CSF because every cpanel server we've ever bought and setup had CSF by default...

    The AUTO_UPDATES=Off suggestion is best because removing the cron file doesn't solve anything.  The update feature just restores the file.

    Just turn off the update, and you're done.
