Issues with license validation on mutiples servers
I currently experience a problem on multiples servers, they seems to have issues to reach the license validation server and prevent WHM access.
Is there currently a problem ?

I understand that, given how quickly critical bugs are discovered, it may be necessary to force updates. However, as José Diéguez pointed out, it shouldn't be possible for a single failed license check to bring down the entire server.
You would expect at least double or triple verification, especially when the issue is simply that the licensing servers are not responding—not that the license has actually been revoked or disabled.

cPanel should consider changing this policy.2 -

Hello, Thank you for contacting cPanel Technical Support! At this time, there is a known issue with the cPanel licensing servers that is causing license update failures. Our team is actively reviewing this issue, and we hope to have this resolved shortly. We do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Further information will be provided in the following article as it becomes available.

Agree with Daniel Bazaes too.

Totally agree with Daniel Bazaes.
While I understand that the lack of communication to the Cpanel servers can't be overlooked (or else, it would be easy to fool Cpanel licensing), 1 fail is not enough to disable the license. Not 1, not 3 fails are acceptable... Maybe for after an hour of fails, is acceptable, but maybe a bit more. It's expected that Cpanel has internal checks that the system is working and signals if not.
It's not to Cpanel benefit an immediate suspension of the license. It's not... Now or a couple hours from now, it's the same... But this way Cpanel has time to fix this kind of issues.
Totally unacceptable crashing millions of servers worldwide because of an eager strategy like this... Totally unacceptable4 -

If the license is paid for on a monthly basis, a single verification failure shouldn't leave the entire server affected like this. At the very least, Webmail should keep working! It is critical for our clients.

Cause
There was an issue with the cPanel Licensing servers that has now been resolved. This was preventing license updates from occurring on the server.
- 5:32PM CST - Mitigation has been completed. Servers should begin to renew licenses properly.
- 5:07PM CST - Begin mitigation roll out
- 4:56PM CST - Root cause found, begin plan for mitigation

Try run: /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
See if it gets the license.0 -
you can stop troubleshooting and try cpkeyclt again
cpanel had an issue that is now reported as resolved0 -
While I know that cPanel was working on a fix for this, it's kind of sad that there was no official cPanel comments in this thread. Also agree that license server failure should not take out all of our servers.

It's ridiculous that a single licensing error could shut down your entire business.
I think this is the sign I've been waiting for.
I've been putting off switching for a while, but I'm going to start looking at other options now.4 -
There was a brief issue with the license system. The short story is that the new security update tool (released two weeks ago and getting its first real test today - see the changelog entry for CPANEL-53412) was a bit too successful and the license servers were overloaded.
We've increased the capacity and everything is working well at this point.

All servers here are up and running.
It is not enough for cPanel to simply say the issue has been resolved; a fix is needed to prevent this from happening again. cPanel needs to review the point raised in this post: that a license should not be invalidated due to a mere error when it is supposed to be valid on a monthly basis.

So, we’re talking about a "self-inflicted DDoS"; (I hate to think what will happen when the DDoS comes from an external source).
Will any additional measures be taken? Will they consider the points raised in this post by some users—specifically, that a license shouldn't be invalidated simply because your server threw an error during the check? These are paid for monthly! You can even check how many years those licenses have been active. Better security is needed in this area; as you can see, the outcome affects thousands... perhaps millions of users.
