If google knows to send some emails to your server, you need to click on edit dns zone in cpanel and select the option for local mail server at the bottom.

Your domain needs to point to either google or your server, it can't be both. You can't split where the mail delivery goes.

This can happen on a reboot some times. As long as the number of restart attempts only says one and you are not getting them over and over again you are fine.

Yes, in WHM, go to teh apache configuration and look at the settings for max_servers and max_clients. These are the settings that limit the number of concurrent connections.
