Same situation, added an "add-on domain" in the old cPanel version with the associated domain. I removed the associated domain from the DNS manager, but there is still a request for the auto-SSL.

Autoresponder - Carriage Return Yields Double Line Break
I have tried this with multiple users/accounts. They all do the same thing. Each carriage return adds 2 new lines as seen below. Here are the settings: Here is the appearance in Outlook:
