How to enable debugging in WordPress

Introduction

When facing issues on a WordPress site, it may be helpful to enable debug mode, which will provide more verbose logging.

Procedure

1. Access the server's command line via SSH or "Terminal" in WHM/cPanel.
2. Open the site's wp-config.php file in your preferred text editor.
3. Change the WP_DEBUG value to true.

   define('WP_DEBUG', true);

4. Change the WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY value to true.

   define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', true);

5. Save the changes and exit the text editor.
