WHM Apache Status page shows: "Failed to receive status information from Apache. Unable to connect to local httpd server."

Symptoms

WHM Apache Status page shows the following error:

CONFIG_TEXT: Failed to receive status information from Apache.
Unable to connect to local httpd server.

Cause

This can occur if the running Apache service does not restart following a cPanel update.

Resolution

The Apache service will need to be manually restarted.

1. Rebuild the Apache configuration:

   # /scripts/rebuildhttpdconf

2. Restart the service:

   # /scripts/restartsrv_httpd
