Symptoms
The KernelCare cronjob fails with the following where $KERNEL_RELEASE
is the running kernel version.
Unknown Kernel (CentOS Linux $KERNEL_RELEASE)
Running the command listed below in SSH or "WHM / Terminal" as root also results in the same message:
# kcarectl --check
Unknown kernel (CentOS Linux $KERNEL_RELEASE), no patches available
Description
KernelCare will return "Unknown Kernel" when the server's kernel is not compatible with KernelCare. This typically occurs when updating to the latest kernel before KernelCare has released a patch.
Workaround
Confirm KernelCare has released a patch for the kernel.
