Introduction
For various reasons, you may want to send a notification to your cPanel users that there is a new feature or a change coming.
You already sent an email to let them know about the change but you want another way to let them know. Well inside WHM you can use the Modify cPanel & WHM News interface to let your cPanel users and/or resellers know about that vital information.
Procedure
To add news to your cPanel accounts you can log into WHM and click on the Modify cPanel & WHM News interface.
There you will see 4 text boxes where you can enter text for various user groups.
In the first text box, enter a message that you wish for all cPanel users on the system to see.
In the second text box, enter a message that you wish for subordinate resellers’ WHM accounts to see. They can click the News link at the top of the WHM interface to view this information.
In the third text box, enter a message that you wish for user accounts that you do not own to see in their cPanel interfaces. Resellers who own their own accounts and resellers’ customers will see this message.
In the fourth text box, enter a message that you wish for users and accounts that you own to see in their cPanel interfaces. Resellers who own their accounts and resellers’ subordinate users will not see this message.
Once you have added your custom information to the group(s) of choice, click the Save News button.
Now when you log in to cPanel you will see a notification in the top right of the Paper Lantern interface with the new.
If you are using the Retro style, the news will be visible on the main cPanel page, directly above the quick user information panel on the top left.
