A cPanel team alias user can not access Terminal after logging into cPanel

Symptoms

A cPanel Team user is unable to access Terminal from cPanel. The error seen is:

Error: The WebSocket handshake failed at 6:03:08 AM.

Description

A cPanel team user with the administrator role set is unable to access Terminal after logging into cPanel as the team user.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-43126. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

Workaround

There is no workaround at this time. Development as confirmed that a Team user can't access Terminal and isn't supported.
