Invalid value error when Modifying an account's max_defer_fail_percentage or max_email_per_hour in WHM

Symptoms

You will receive an error when increasing max_defer_fail_percentage or max_defer_fail_percentage in the WHM / Modify Account page higher than the package allows.

(XID 7ttdgq) Invalid value “400” for the “max_defer_fail_percentage” setting.

Description

When increasing max_defer_fail_percentage or max_defer_fail_percentage higher than the package's value you will receive an invalid value error.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-46586. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

Workaround

Create a new package with the increased max_defer_fail_percentage or max_defer_fail_percentage and assign the user to the new package.
