Package Conflict between EA provided Ioncube14 and ALT-PHP

Symptoms

A package conflict error is encountered when attempting to install EA-PHP's Ioncube 14 for any PHP 8.X version within a CloudLinux server running ALT-PHP.

Error: Transaction test error:
file /usr/lib/.build-id/bf/627b6b7df3f004ca4718bd3992ae6943fe5d0f from install of ea-php83-php-ioncube14-14.4.0-2.3.1.cpanel.x86_64 conflicts with file from package alt-php83-ioncube-loader-14.4.0-1.el9.x86_64

Description

This behavior occurs because the ALT-PHP and EA-PHP packages claim control over the same file(s).

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-46951. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

Workaround

The current versions of the CloudLinux Ioncube packages should not cause this error. Please update to the latest version before attempting to install the EA package again.
