Introduction
This article provides the steps to install and enable the Let's Encrypt provider for AutoSSL. This will cause AutoSSL to order SSL Certificates from Let's Encrypt.
Please note that Let's Encrypt is the default AutoSSL provider starting in cPanel version 114, and the procedure in this article only applies to cPanel versions older than 114.
Procedure
- Access the server's command line as the 'root' user via SSH or "Terminal" in WHM.
- Install the
cpanel-letsencrypt-v2
package.- CloudLinux 7, CentOS 7
yum install cpanel-letsencrypt-v2
- AlmaLinux, CloudLinux 8/9, Rocky Linux
dnf install cpanel-letsencrypt-v2
- Ubuntu
apt install cpanel-letsencrypt-v2
- CloudLinux 7, CentOS 7
- Log into WHM as the ‘root’ user.
- Navigate to "Home / SSL/TLS / Manage AutoSSL."
- Under "AutoSSL Providers," select "Let's Encrypt™."
- Under "Terms of Service," agree to the terms of service by checking the checkbox next to "I agree to these terms of service."
- Click the "Save" button.
