How to change the shared IP

Introduction

This article addresses changing the shared IP address for cPanel accounts. This is the address that will be used for new accounts that are not assigned a dedicated IP.

Procedure

1. Log into WHM.
2. Navigate to "WHM / Server Configuration / Basic WebHost Manager Setup."
3. Change "The IPv4 address (only one address) to use to set up shared IPv4 virtual hosts." to the new IP address.
4. Click "Apply" at the bottom of the page.
5. Move any sites using the old shared IP to the new shared IP using the "IP Migration Wizard"
