Introduction
You may use Alt-PHP for a site with the following steps.
Procedure
Method 1 - via PHP Selector, Recommended
- Login to WHM as the root user
- Navigate to: "Home » Software » MultiPHP Manager"
- Ensure that the "PHP Version" on the System Settings tab is set to any ea-php version. Using an alt-php version instead will cause problems.
- Click on the "User Domain Settings" tab
- Find the desired domain in the table below and set the version to "Inherit"
- Login to the cPanel account that owns the domain
- Click on the "Select PHP Version" icon
- Click on the dropdown next to "Current PHP Version" and select your desired PHP version
- Click "Set As Current"
Method 2 - via MultiPHP Manager
- Login to WHM as the root user
- Navigate to: "Home » Software » MultiPHP" ManagerEnsure that the "PHP Version" on the System Settings tab is set to any ea-php version. Using an alt-php version instead will cause problems.
- Click on the "User Domain Settings" tab
- Find the desired domain in the table below and set the version to your desired Alt-PHP version.
NOTE: It is also possible to choose an ea-php version with this method if you would like to override PHP Selector for a specific domain.
Please note that the PHP extensions set in the CloudLinux PHP Selector or CloudLinux Manager will not work in this case. You will only get the basic extensions that are built-in into a particular PHP version.
