Introduction
This article will explain how to enable the statistics software (Awstats, Webalizer, and Analog) available with cPanel. You have the option of enabling the statistics software for all accounts on the server or provide the cPanel accounts the ability to enable the statistics software of their choosing from within their cPanel.
Procedure
How to enable statistics software for all accounts on the server
1 ) Navigate to WHM (when logged in as root) » Statistics Software Configuration
2 ) Under the Generators Configuration section, check the Active by Default box for each of the statistics software you would like to enable server-wide
3 ) Click the Save button within the Generators Configuration section
How to give cPanel accounts the ability to enable statistics software
Suppose you do not wish to enable statistics software by default for all accounts on the server. Here are instructions on how to give all cPanel accounts or just selected cPanel accounts the ability to enable statistics software if they would like to do so.
1 ) Navigate to WHM (when logged in as root) » Statistics Software Configuration
2 ) Under the Generators Configuration section, check the Available to Users boxes for the statistics software you would like cPanel users to be able to enable
3 ) Click the Save button within the Generators Configuration section
4 ) User Permissions (see below for options)
The User Permissions section provides options to allow all users the ability to enable statistics software or give only chosen users this ability.
Allow all users to enable statistics software:
1 ) Check the Allow all users to change their web statistics generating software. box
2 ) Click the Save button within the Users Permissions section
Choose which users can enable statistics software:
1 ) Click the Choose Users button
2 ) Add the needed user(s) to the Allowed Users list
Once all users or the desired users have been allowed to enable statistics software, the accounts can now do so at their cPanel » Metrics Editor which you can view details on here:
