How to change the domain of an existing account

Introduction

This article provides the steps needed to change the primary domain on an existing account.

Please note that the domain you want as the new primary domain must not exist on the server.

Procedure

1. Log into WHM as the 'root' user.
2. Navigate to "Home / Account Functions / Modify an Account."
3. Select the account to edit.
4. Click the "Modify" button.
5. Enter the new domain name in the "Primary Domain" textbox.
6. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
