Introduction
This article covers how to control which packages a reseller can use and see.
Procedure
While creating a package in WHM at the following location:
Home » Packages » Add a Package
The name of the package will determine if a reseller can use the package. Unusable packages will not be displayed to the reseller.
Package usability is determined as follows:
Type of package | Example | Description | Reseller can use/view |
---|---|---|---|
Root | root_package |
root , an underscore, and a package name. |
No |
User | reseller_package |
The reseller’s username, an underscore, and a package name. | Yes, if the reseller is the same as the prefix. |
Global | package |
A package name that does not contain any underscores. | Yes, if the hosting provider enables the viewglobalpackages ACL for the reseller; otherwise, no. |
