DNS zones not updated for cPanel accounts that use Temporary domains when the account's IP address is changed.

Symptoms

After changing the IP address associated with a cPanel account, if the cPanel account has a Temporary domain you will see the error below within the WHM UI:

CONFIG_TEXT: You cannot modify DNS records on temporary domains. at /usr/local/cpanel/Whostmgr/DNS/SwapIP.pm line 159.

You also find that the DNS zones for the non-temporary domains on the account are not updated to reflect the new IP.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-52132. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

Workaround

The DNS zone for the domains on the account will need to be updated to use the new IP address. This can be done with the WHM > DNS Zone Manager or using the method below.
