How to reset the administrator password for WHMCS

Introduction

Follow the steps listed below to reset the administrator password for WHMCS.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the WHMCS admin login page.
   
   
2. Click the "Forgot your password?" link.

If you do not see the "Forgot your password?" link, follow the steps listed below.

1. Log into cPanel.
   
   
2. Navigate to phpMyAdmin.
   
   
3. Select the WHMCS database.
   
   
4. Select the table named "tblconfiguration."
   
   
5. Click edit next to "DisableAdminPWReset."
   
   
6. Ensure the value is blank.
   
   
7. Click "Go" to save the change.
   
   
8. Navigate to the WHMCS admin login page.
   
   
9. Click the "Forgot your password?" link.

If you experience issues with receiving the password reset email, follow the steps listed below.

1. Log into cPanel.
   
   
2. Navigate to phpMyAdmin.
   
   
3. Select the WHMCS database.
   
   
4. Select the table named "tbladmins."
   
   
5. Click "edit" next to the user you want to reset the password for.
   
   
6. In the password field, remove the current text and input a new password.
   
   
7. In the drop-down menu next to the password field, select "MD5."
   
   
8. Click "Go" to save the change.
   
   
9. Navigate to the WHMCS admin login page.
   
   
10. Click the "Forgot your password?" link.
