How-To Enable Imunify360 Hyperscan

Introduction

The Imunify360 Hyperscan can improve scanning speed on supported SSSE3 CPU platforms

If it is not enabled, a warning is shown on the Imunify360 dashboard

Hyperscan feature is disabled. Enable it to speed up scan speed on CPU with SSSE3 instructions support. Requires extra 50MB of RAM to operate.

Procedure

If your CPU supports the SSSE3 instructions set you can enable the Hyperscan option in Imunify360.

First check if your CPU supports the SSE3 instructions:

cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep -i SSSE3

If the above command does not return any info your CPU does not have SSSE3 instructions set and the Hyperscan will not work.

If your server is a virtual server please ask your hosting provider to enable SSSE3 instruction set for your virtual CPU, otherwise, you may need to replace the CPU

In the settings menu (click the wheel icon) go to MALWARE tab, scroll down to the "Enable Hiperscan" section and check the box then click the "save changes" button to save the new settings.
