How to use the updateuserdomains script

Introduction

If a user's user file (/var/cpanel/users/$username) is manually changed, the updateuserdomains script must be run to update the associated configuration files.

Manual changes to user files or userdata files are not recommended. An account should be restored from a backup if there is an issue with the account's user file or userdata files.

Procedure

1. Log in to WHM as the ‘root’ user.
2. Run the updateuserdomains script.

   /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/updateuserdomains
