Symptoms
The daily cPanel update fails with an error similar to the following.
[2024-04-19 04:16:02 +0700] E [/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update-packages] The "/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update-packages" command (process 4191455) reported error number 1 when it ended.
Description
The update-packages script runs yum/dnf/apt and will return an error if yum/dnf/apt encounters an error.
Workaround
Run yum update/dnf update/apt update and review the error returned. The specific error returned will have to be addressed.
