Unable to log into webmail: A fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive: [Banner: plugin not found]

Symptoms

When attempting to log into Webmail, you encounter a fatal error. The error details will contain the following line.

[INFO]=[Banner: plugin not found]

This issue occurs when the cpanel-banners-plugin package is missing from the system.

Install the cpanel-banners-plugin package.

CentOS 7, CloudLinux 7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

yum install cpanel-banners-plugin

CloudLinux 8, AlmaLinux 8, Rocky Linux 8

dnf install cpanel-banners-plugin

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

apt-get install cpanel-banners-plugin
