Question
How does temporary blocking of a domain's outgoing emails for too many deferred or failed emails work?
Answer
There are two settings in "Tweak Settings" that will determine when outgoing emails are temporarily blocked.
- "Maximum percentage of failed or deferred messages a domain may send per hour"
- "Number of failed or deferred messages a domain may send before protections can be triggered"
Outgoing emails from a domain will be temporarily blocked if both of the following conditions are true:
- The percentage of failed or deferred messages sent in the past hour is equal to or greater than the specified percentage for the past hour.
- The number of failed or deferred messages is equal to or greater than the value of the "Number of failed or deferred messages a domain may send before protections can be triggered" setting.
