How to setup email on the Android Gmail app

Introduction

This guide will explain how to set up your cPanel-created email account in the Android Gmail app.

Procedure

1. On your Android device, navigate to "Gmail / Settings / Add Account / Personal (IMAP/POP)".
2. Enter your email address.
3. Choose IMAP or POP.
4. Enter your email password.
5. In incoming mail server settings, use the following settings, then click next:
   

   IMAP:

   • Username: Your full email address
   • Password: Your email account password
   • Server: mail.domain.tld (replace domain.tld with your domain)
   • Port: 993
   • Security Type: SSL/TLS

   POP:

   • Username: Your full email address
   • Password: Your email account password
   • Server: mail.domain.tld (replace domain.tld with your domain.)
   • Port: 993
   • Security Type: SSL/TLS
     
     
6. In outgoing mail server settings, ensure"Require Sign-in" is selected and use the following settings, then click next:

• Username: Your full email address
• Password: Your email account password
• Server: mail.domain.tld (replace domain.tld with your domain)
• Port: 465 / 587
• Security Type: SSL/TLS
