How to setup email on Android

Introduction

This guide will explain how to set up your cPanel created email account in the Android Gmail app.

Procedure

New Account

1. Gmail App -> Settings -> Add Account -> Personal (IMAP/POP) -> Next
2. Enter your email address -> Next
3. Choose IMAP or POP; if you're not sure, you should select IMAP. For more information on the differences between IMAP and POP.

4. Enter your email password -> Next

Incoming Mail Settings

IMAP:

Username: Your full email address

Password: Your email account password

Server: mail.domain.tld (replace domain.tld with your domain)

Port: 993

Security Type: SSL/TLS

POP:

Username: Your full email address

Password: Your email account password

Server: mail.domain.tld (replace domain.tld with your domain)

Port: 993

Security Type: SSL/TLS

After everything is filled in, click next.

Outgoing Mail Settings

Make sure "Require Sign-in" is selected.

Username: Your full email address

Password: Your email account password

Server: mail.domain.tld (replace domain.tld with your domain)

Port: 465 / 587

Security Type: SSL/TLS

After you've entered outgoing mail settings, click Next.
