Cloned sites do not copy original site's PHP settings

Symptoms

When reviewing a cloned site's PHP settings, you'll find that the PHP version does not match the PHP version of the origin site.

Description

Cloned sites in WP2 environments appear to take on the system default PHP version and do not clone using the same PHP version as the origin site.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is WPX-7819. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

Workaround

You can change the PHP version to your preferred version after cloning the site by following these steps:

1. On the "Websites" interface, click "Manage Website" for the cloned site.
2. Under the "Advanced" tab, click "PHP Settings".
3. From the dropdown, select your preferred PHP version.
4. Click "Apply".
