How to Transfer a cPanel License to a New IP Address

If you need to move your cPanel license to a different server or IP address, you can do so by updating the IP address in the cPanel Store and refreshing the license on your server.

Step 1: Update the License IP Address in the cPanel Store

1. Log in to your cPanel Store account.
   
2. Click Orders/Licenses, then select View My Licenses from the top menu.
   
3. Locate the license you'd like to update and click on the product name.
4. Scroll down to the Manage section and click Edit IP Address.
   
5. Enter the new IP address for your server.
   
6. Click Edit IP Address to save the change.

Step 2: Refresh the License on Your Server

After updating the IP in the cPanel Store, the change will take effect immediately. To apply the update on your server, run the following command as the root user via SSH:

/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt

Note: This process applies to cPanel Store licenses only. cPanel Partners should use Manage2 or submit a request to Customer Service directly for license conversions or assistance.
