How to Renew an Expired cPanel License
If your cPanel license has expired, the renewal process depends on how long ago the license expired. Follow the steps below based on your specific situation.
Renewing a License Expired Less Than 30 Days Ago
If your license expired during the current billing month, you can renew it by paying the existing invoice:
- Log in to your cPanel Store account.
- After logging in, you will see a pending invoice if the license is eligible for renewal.
- Click the Pay Now button.
- Once payment is completed, the license will reactivate automatically.
Renewing a License Expired More Than 30 Days Ago
If your license expired more than a month ago, it cannot be reactivated. Instead, you’ll need to order a new license using the following steps:
- Log in to your cPanel Store account.
- Click Order New Services from the main dashboard.
- Select the license type you wish to purchase (e.g., Solo, Admin, Pro, Premier).
- Click Order Now.
- Follow the prompts to enter your IP address and complete the checkout process.
Final Step: Refresh the License on the Server
After renewal or purchase, the license will activate immediately. If access to cPanel or WHM is not restored automatically, refresh the license by running the following command via SSH as the root
user:
/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
