You may want to change the IP address used to send outbound email on your cPanel & WHM system. This guide explains how you can make those changes if you have root access to the machine.
- Once you're logged in to WHM, go to Exim Configuration Manager and make sure the following options is enabled:
- Reference /etc/mailips for outgoing SMTP connections
- From SSH, you would then edit the /etc/mailips file on the machine and add the following code (NOTE: if you are using a system with a NAT network configuration you will need to enter the private IP address in this file):
- With this code, you are telling Exim to send email from all domains from the 184.108.40.206 IP address on your machine.
