Where are Local Backups Stored?

Where are backups stored on the server? In which directory can I find the local files from backups on the server?

Answer

The backup location is configured as '/backup' by default.

This can be found and updated via "WHM / Backup / Backup Configuration" under "Default Backup Directory."

You can also find the currently configured location via the command-line:

grep 'BACKUPDIR' /var/cpanel/backups/config

The default output will be:

BACKUPDIR: /backup
