Introduction
Apache, and cPanel by extension, offers a feature enabling users to access their user directories via the server's IP address or the server's hostname. The URLs appear like this:
http://123.456.789.000/~cpuser/index.php
http://server.hostname.com/~cpuser/index.php
This feature isn't always wanted. To disable it, read below.
Procedure
- Log into WHM
- Navigate to "Apache mod_userdir Tweak" in the "Security" section or via the search
- Uncheck "Exclude Protection" from "DefaultHost (nobody)"
- Click "Save"
