Question
It is possible to modify the configuration directives for Greylisting?
Answer
Yes! The Greylisting configurations can be modified using the Greylisting interface in WHM. This interface can be accessed in WHM at Home »Email »Greylisting, or by entering "Greylisting" into the search field on the left.
If Greylisting is enabled you will be presented with several options. Adjustments made within these sections will modify the behavior for Greylisted connections.
Configuration Settings
These options control the Time-frames with which Greylisting handles connections. All options are in 'minutes':
- Initial Deferral Period -The number of minutes during which the mail server defers email from an unknown sender.
- Resend Acceptance Period - The number of minutes during which the mail server accepts a resent email from an unknown sender.
- Record Expiration Time - After this amount of time has passed the server treats the resent message as "newly sent"
Trusted Hosts
This panel allows you to "Trust" or "White-list" a server, or group of servers, from being Greylisted.
Common Mail Providers
By default cPanel servers Automatically trust newly added mail providers. If you wish to adjust that behavior, or modify the list of trusted Mail Providers, you can do so from this panel.
Reports
The Greylist Report displays the current state of triplets in the system. A triplet consists of a sender IP address, From address, and To address.
