Create a New Account results in: You may not create a domain with a name that is the server’s hostname.

Symptoms

When creating a new account, you received the following error:

Account Creation Status: failed

(XID td6agx) You may not create a domain with a name that is the server's hostname.

Description 

This occurs when using the domain that was input during account creation is the hostname of the server. For example, if the server's hostname is set to domain.tld and you attempt to create a new account using domain.tld you will receive the above error.

Workaround

Change the hostname of the server to a fully qualified domain name in WHM >> Change Hostname. Information on effective hostname usage with cPanel & WHM can be found here:
