Introduction
Many of the cPanel & WHM features are customizable on a server-wide basis. The 'Tweak Settings' page allows those changes to be made easily. Below is the location of 'Tweak Settings' with a few examples of options that can be modified.
Procedure
To locate the 'Tweak Settings' page, use the following steps:
1. Log into WHM as the root user.
2. Navigate to the following location:
WHM: Home -> Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings
The page is divided into the following sections:
Compression
cPAddons Site Software
Development
Display
Domains
Logging
Notifications
Packages
PHP
Redirection
Security
Software
SQL
Stats and Logs
Stats Programs
Status
Support
System
From this page, you can disable or enable options such as this:
Allow Remote Domains -
This setting allows the creation of parked domains (aliases) and addon domains that resolve to other servers.
Log successful logins -
This setting causes your server to record successful login events for cPanel, Webmail, WHM, and DAV to their respective log files in the /usr/local/cpanel/logs/ directory.
Prevent "nobody" from sending mail -
This setting denies the nobody user the ability to send mail to a remote address. PHP and CGI scripts generally run as the nobody user. To use a PHP or CGI script to send mail, enable the suEXEC or mod_php modules in your Apache configuration.
As well as set values for certain features:
Account system disk usage "warn" percentage -
This setting allows you to specify the threshold at which a system's disk usage enters the warn state, or to disable this notification.
Account system disk usage "critical" percentage -
This setting allows you to specify the threshold at which a system disk usage enters the critical state, or to disable this notification.
There is a myriad of options to choose from.
