Certain Email Accounts Cannot Search Inbox (Error: Server Error(OK))

Symptoms

In some cases, certain email accounts may not be able to search within their emails. When attempting to search your emails, you may encounter the error:

Server Error (OK)

Description

In most cases, the email account's dovecot.index files are corrupted. It is possible to rebuild these files the next time the email account logs in with the remove_dovecot_index_files script.

Workaround

1. Access the server's command line as the 'root' user via SSH or "Terminal" in WHM.
2. Run the following command.

   /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/remove_dovecot_index_files --user $username

   Please note that you must replace "$username" with the username of the cPanel account that manages the email account facing this error.
3. Sign in to the email account to rebuild the index files.
