How to verify that the email HELO and Outgoing mail IP address is correct

Introduction

Use the following information to test your outgoing HELO and IP address configuration.

Procedure

Send an email to: helocheck@abuseat.org

You'll immediately get a bounce-back error message in your inbox; this is a good thing!

Contained within the error message will be the HELO domain and the IP address that was used to send the message.
