How do you verify that the email HELO and outgoing mail IP address is correct?

Send an email to: helocheck@abuseat.org. You'll immediately get a bounce-back error message in your inbox; this is a good thing!
Contained within the error message will be the HELO domain and the IP address that was used to send the message, for example:
CONFIG_TEXT: Error Details
Error: 550 5.0.350 Remote server returned an error -> 550 *** The HELO for IP address 203.0.113.2 was 'helo.domain.tld' (valid syntax) ***
Message rejected by: emmex.spamhaus.org
