How to remove PHP version 5.6

Introduction

PHP version 5.6 has reached EOL so you may want to remove it from your server.

This guide contains details on how to remove the installed PHP 5.6 packages.

Procedure

Run the following command in SSH as root: ( type "y" at the prompt to confirm removal )

yum remove ea-php56*

Verify removal with the additional command:

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/rebuild_phpconf --current
