As far as the customization of cPanel goes... Home/cPanel/Customization: Currently ONLY the main menu background color, Logo, favicon, help and documentation links, and contact info are customizable. Want to be able to set all of the following Logo target URL (Prefer this to go to my hosting company we site.) Logo ALT text Main Menu :Tools: Custom option text and icon. (prefer that to say HOME and have an appropriate icon) RHS "Tools" text (top of page) not needed. RHS main BG color RHS Section header BG color RHS Section text color RHS Section BG color RHS ALL icons RHS icon link text color RHS General info BG color RHS General info link text color RHS General info link BG color RHS sub section 1st and 2nd BG color in item lists (e.g. forwarders/) RHS sub section None found BG color (e.g. "There are no Domain Forwarders setup for this domain.")

One thing to ask oneself when making UI changes is if anything is actually improving. In this case it is not. There are lots of replies here about improvements to the new theme that customers want to see, but they are just not needed if we can just return to the old UI. I am not a "change is bad" type of person, but making change for changes sake is a waste of resources and time. There was nothing wrong with the old UI and the new UI makes nothing better. The old UI with a customizable front page, beeing able to pin your own functions there, now that would be something.

@PCZero - I've shared that list with the team. @Xlogic - I'm honestly not sure if they've *ever* been complete. Can you let me know what language you're seeing issues with?

@andyhan - I'm not aware of any issues specific to the Host Access Control page at this time. Can you try clearing your cache and loading that page again?

Here are few suggestions, complains and comments. I tried to visualize them. For information - we mostly using 1920 x 1080 resolution, so hopefully it could be adjusted to that aspect ratio.

Yes of course, the language is Italian. Thanks for your interest.

Just logged in and found myself face with this new theme. Any way to roll back to the older one? The nav on the left is so cramped and hard to read. The media query breakpoints are terrible. The inner pages have so much wasted space. Literally just google "admin theme design" -- most of the results you'll see would be an improvement. Does anyone know if there's a simple way to inject some CSS? Might as well fix it myself.

@ChrisTNM - you can roll back the theme for cPanel users, but not for WHM. There are some CSS details posted here:

Have you tried the mobile apps. They work perfectly with current WHM theme.

Are you joking? They screwed the app too, the icons don"t even line up. There is no way to close the left nav menu doesn"t close after you open it Etc

Have to say, great recommendations on your images. Personally i like the new theme. is not "terrible". with some tweaks from Cpanel, like recommendations on the images of anton_latvia, it would be easier to use.

any way to made fresh installation with "stable" and not with "release"?

  • ffeingol
The cPanel & WHM Update Configuration File - cpupdate.conf | cPanel & WHM Documentation You would set CPANEL=stable or CPANEL=lts. If you go with LTS, you have a few months before V102 will roll in, but you're going to go backwards quite a bit.

This is why we need the FILTER input form on the left men", this search input is not useful, the filter input on the left was able to understand what we where looking for very fast... im on 102.0.8... and the load averages still not visible all the time

The text in the link is "DNS Zone Manager" so search zone instead ... it is also easier ;)

Regarding the load averages .. it is not that difficult to press the small icon to see them.

How do we get rid of this Jupiter thing? It is god awful and shockingly bad. We can't have all of our servers like this... it will destroy productivity. Need to be able to get rid of it in WHM and prevent it from ever getting pushed onto cPanel accounts.

yeah no this is not something that we are going to be "getting used to." We need to be able to restore the WHM theme and get rid of Jupiter. I wouldn't wish this on our clients either so I pray you stop what you are doing.. unless you allow us to use the truly better theme "Paper Lantern"

you are being a little unfair, because your search of the right-image, would give you 0 results on the Old WHM Theme. because it doesn't exist. I do give you a point, the Search should be smarter, that if you look for "manage" should also show "manager" or "managed" or something like that... but that also applies to old WHM Theme

The new interface is terrible. Missing the load averages with the link to process list. Left menu filter that persists as it was before. I don't mind the branding and color changes, just give me back these two things that I use every day.

Regarding the load averages .. it is not that difficult to press the small icon to see them.

The issue most here including my team have is not that we have to press a button to see statistics it is that the action is non persistent. Operators need to switch screens several times per minute and when debugging issues having a real time display is godsend. Someone in UX department thought it was clever to put a blue filter over the entire dashboard once you press the button. I know we humans are very bad at focusing our attention but having a color change happening all the time will certainly not help. I would not like to be the person who needs to run nighttime maintenance and going from bright to dark all the time on there screen. Also if you are one of those people running a nighttime filter or focus filter to auto adjust brightness you are in for a world of hurt. As a consequence of the non persistent state operators are also unable to copy information in the widget itself Screenshots can't be taken either unless on a timer because any button press closes the screen. And timer based screens have the problem that all other information is obscured by the filter. So now we even need to run either a color replace tool which also only so much accuracy or make a second screenshot without the widget and merging them as two layers in 1 image. The alternative right now is that they have to open up a SSH or NoVNC connection to the server and run uptime
    ortop
Which is fine if they actually need to do things that is not possible in the GUI but we rather keep terminal to the bare minimum as well as that not all operators are allowed on that level to connect to the servers. Hope that clarifies why people are asking for the revert to old behavior.

In the List Accounts view on Desktop (current version of Chrome on Windows 10 Pro), the table view is cut off on the right side of the browser window. Instead of the horizontal scrollbar being at the bottom of the window, it's at the bottom of the container that lists all the accounts. So to get to the scrollbar, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, scroll to the right, then go back up the page to the account you were looking at. Yes, you can use Shift+scroll (or if you're using a trackpad you can scroll horizontally), but the scrollbar is hidden unless you just happen to scroll to the bottom to find it. Previous design, which makes it obvious that you can scroll horizontally (displayed regardless of where you are on the page): New design that makes you have to guess how to get to the info or hunt for a scrollbar (displayed only if you happen scroll all the way to the bottom):

Sadly this CPanel forum resizes the images so they're squished and blurred rather than being true size. Therefore they're a little harder to visualise (on a 1980 x 1080 screen) but from what I can see of these they are very good suggestions.
