102 EDGE Version new whm theme
Hi
When I installed the 102 edge version for testing, I saw that the whm theme changed and I didn't like it at all.
Will we be able to use the old whm theme in version 102?

@cPanelAdamF IMHO, the survey is badly flawed. As soon as I said we're not using Jupiter (because we are on LTS) the survey ended. Just because we're not using in (for customers) does not mean that we have not setup a development system and tested Jupiter. 0 -
I've got some updates you guys will like! In 102.0.3 we removed the Paper Lantern deprecation message from the cPanel interface. in 102.0.4: -the left sidebar is back to being always there. -the search algorithm is updated to be more accurate so "list" will pull up "List Accounts" -the Solutions area is hidden completely 0 -

What level of customization will be possible with the Jupiter themes in 102? Will we be able to fully rewrite/override the HTML templates and full CSS on the page? Will there be a custom images folder we can upload to in our custom theme? 0 -
Without having used the new design yet, I think it seems way more modern than the current WHM design. I think that there's a trend currently.
"Modern design" aka Material Design aka Jony Ive design where everything is black lines on a white background with zero color actually goes against user interface guidelines of usability and discoverability. It imposes mystery meat navigation where status messages, buttons, menus, and controls all blend together as stark unformatted text and abstract graphics (if at all) and are not visually distinguishable and so the user must click randomly to find the functionality they want. We have eight core CPUs, hardware accelerated graphics, gigabytes of RAM, terabytes of storage, and tens of millions of colors available to us, including transparency and graphical transformations. Monochromatic interfaces are brutalist user hostility and are a passing fad that users must actively resist.0 -

UI Includes will provide a safe way of bringing your content into areas of Jupiter...but no, we do not support direct changes to templates. Regarding full CSS, we are preserving the UI Include point found in the tag. I would suggest using this to insert any number of resources onto the page.0 -

We need a search bar on the left sidebar too, that search bar should filter the items in the menu, just like is used to be0 -

That's a bit of a bummer. Literally every one of our internal procedures says "search for xxx in WHM". We literally use nothing but the search. We'll adapt to the new search method, but it was "easy" to have the left side navigation collapse to the search results.0 -

You should consider, is something necesary, i know that we have the new search bar, but the left search bar is not exactly a "search" its a filter and is very useful to filter the menu items by words, i use it a lot and i think that other server administrators use it to filter. The left bar has too much text and the new UI colors, size and font make it very confusing, filtering the menu items would help a lot, is very annoying read the entire menu bar to find what we are looking for, sometimes we dont remember where is exactly something and filtering by words helps too much to see and find what we need0 -

I totally agree this is ridiculous that your taking this away.. the other search bar in the main page is not like the left menu... the left menu is like a filter as @tui said. The text is tooooooooo LARGE.. once and for all... and the colors are horrible for your eye!!!!! 'still we seem to not get it @cPanelAdamF ??? are you thinking correctly.. this left menu needs the search filter in WHM. we have to scroll all the way down to fins something. the old left menu was PERFECT.. why are you guys ruining the left menu? please listen to your customers. why do you want to do things the hard way and get so many people upset. we pay you for a service that we all love. ( a bit pricey) but that is n what it is.. Either pay or move on to another platform, We get that. but were still here. But Yet there was never anything wrong with the left menu.. in whm so why make it worse than it was. text to large white text is horrible for our eyes with that horrible background color.. no search ( FILTER) for left menu. come on now.. please add the filter search below the logo as it was before. it makes life so much easier. please listen to us.0 -
Guy what is wrong with this ppl from cPanel ?! The new whm theme is complet rubish, the font is so big is like made for blindppl no ofense, what the hell ? I`m not blind The background color and font text color complet mess, no contrast at all verry hard to read. The theme/whm work so slow This is a complet mess and i have to change back somehow or i will customize my entire whm theme,css ...etc cuz this is complet wrong. Dont even whant to say regarding cpanel theme, daily i get emails from customers to change it back cuz its hard to work with. mess 0 -
The cPanel team should code things so that WHM/cPanel looks for a set of custom icons for both WHM and cPanel in a specific directory using a set naming convention. Then again that woudl be too easy for server owners to modify the icon set. 0 -
@cPRex can you pass this on to your developers team @cPanelAdamF when in mobile view on iPhone 11 max pro using 102.0.6 the WHM logo and the bottom links show in the middle of some pages. example go to ea4 and you will see the bottom logo is in the middle of everything and also the bottom links are in the middle of the page not at the bottom' alt="29407A4A-96B2-46B5-80D6-0C2331010F0D.jpeg">76101 0 -

Please spend a moment and install it on a non-production box to check out. "Customize Top Tools in WHM" has been fully rescheduled to v106, which begins development later this month. It will arrive with APIs and UI changes all at once, rather than piecemeal, on our EDGE tier in June/July of this year. That's it in terms of updating expectations. All of the other items in my bulleted list from March 2 are available now in v102.0.7! 0 -
Never seen such a poorly conceived theme, difficult to work with, without visual support et cetc? Did anyone remember that there are users who don't speak English? Did anyone remember usability? How many clicks does it take to do the same thing in a subcategory of menus? No breadcrumb, no nothing to takeback. No alternatives??? Has anyone asked us who buy it if we would agree to pay for software as it is now? When companies become too arrogant, wanting customers to pay to do and put in front of their eyes what they want, it almost always results in .... Even the best manager in the world can go bankrupt, it's the customers who buy and pay for, not companie sell what it want. 0 -

@cPRex @cPanelAdamF also under resellers / change ownership of an account it redirects us to account Functions. so remove the link from resellers and add it to account functions. Why redirect it. Or keep it in resellers and make it work there. ?? Why the redirect. 0 -
@cPRex @cPanelAdamF when going to home/resellers/resellers center there is a note: All functions on this page are now available via the main WHM menu ?? What do you mean by this. If I click on the WHM logo top left it takes me to home page. So where is this suppose to be if not under home/resellers/resellers center ?? EDIT: this use to be in older WHM Theme but is no longer the case if I"m looking correctly. You Might want to remove this note: It"s not in home section any longer 0 -

Are you guys not changing the font size on the left menu at least ( if your not going to give us a better background color) can you Make the text smaller. And a dimmer color. It really is too bright for my eyes and too large fonts. ?? Please why the stubbornness on that color and font size. If I want larger text I can do that on my iPhone MacBook desktop windows 11 etc We can enlarge the screen text as some might do if they need it. But those of us who don"t, then this makes 0 sense to make our computer text smaller just to be able to use WHM and cPanel comfortably for our eyes. Can you at least make the text smaller. Why so high strung on such a large bright text for left menu. ? @cPanelAdamF @cPRex can you inform me if this is going to change. Or no plans on this (background color and text smaller and not such a white text color) Thank you0 -

@Spirogg - I'm not sure what you mean with the Service Status page. I'm looking at that area on a 102.0.7 build and that seems fine. For the Resellers >> Change Ownership of An Account page, that redirects to Modify an Account. If you choose a user there, you'll then be able to modify the owner. This is just us trying to keep that option to one page to avoid confusion. I currently am not aware of any plans to change the sidebar font/color. Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing on your side? 0 -

EDIT: 102.08 Edge Build Fixes this issue thanks @cPanelAdamF @cPRex @cPRex @cPanelAdamF When you click on the menu links while on that page you don't get all the options for that section see these two differences. when I go to Home / Server Configuration On that page I should see all the links on a separate page to Server Configuration like in versions prior to 107 see photos anything that you click on after the Home / ?? will tal=ke you to the Home page again not to the page with its related links This is the correct way if I click on Home / Server Configuration all links are under one seperate page for this category (server configuration) This is a BIG Issue for everyone.. why do I want to go back to home page and start all over when I can just click on menu /Home/ Server Configuration and see all the links under that category.. this was not like this in version 102.06 and before. -03-15 at 3.02.31 AM.png">76249 and now the NEW Version when you click on link Home / Server Configuration you go back to the Main Page -03-15 at 3.12.43 AM.png">76253 This happens for all the links after HOME / ... if you click on them they take you back to home page Thanks Spiro0 -
I currently am not aware of any plans to change the sidebar font/color. Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing on your side?
-03-15 at 3.12.43 AM.png">76281 I deleted the other images from my other post to keep things clean one post per issues. this is on my MacBook Pro 13' and in my windows laptop which is 16' screen the text seems even bigger. I think if I am not mistaken the font size is 16px in your code. - for both categories and dropdown sub categories. this is to big. the dropdown sub categories should be smaller. in your forum you don't have such large text. for any menu or drop down, so why would the developers create such a large text for the menu. why are they stuck on such a large font. if they won't change the colors then at least make the text smaller so its not so large and maybe that will ease the pain on our eyes. thank you spiro0
