Yum failing with "There was an error communicating with CLN." message.

Symptoms

When trying to perform a software installation or server updates, you may receive an error from Yum with the following:

[~]cPs# yum update
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, rhnplugin, universal-hooks
Command rhn_check exited with code zero. That usually means that registration is not needed. Use --force to override
There was an error communicating with CLN.
CLN support will be disabled.

Description 

Unfortunately, there is currently an ongoing issue with the CloudLinux Network, or CLN. Due to this, updates with yum and license activation may be performed with delay or fail with a timeout error. At this time, the CLN team is working hard on resolving this issue. You can see updates on this matter at the CloudLinux status page here:

Workaround

At this time, there is no known workaround for this problem. This problem does appear to be causing intermittent issues, so attempting to run your commands every so often may see this as working. Otherwise, we are waiting on a fix from the CloudLinux team.
