How to Move Your Existing cPanel License with Another Provider to cPanel Direct

If you have a license through another cPanel license provider and wish to transition to a direct cPanel customer, please follow the below steps:

1. Contact your current license provider. Let them know you do not wish to renew the current license for another term.
2. Ask your current license provider for the expiration date for your license.
3. Contact Customer Service at cs@cpanel.net and let us know that you wish to purchase a license directly through us and let us know the expiration date.
4. We will schedule a task in the ticket to activate a 3 day emergency license the day before the current license expires. (A scheduled task will keep the ticket open and prevent it from auto-closing).
5. You will then be able to purchase a cPanel license from the cPanel store at store.net/pricing.
6. The paid license will replace the 3 day license immediately upon purchase and you will not experience any downtime.
7. You will need to run the license update command via SSH to activate the new license: /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
