Symptoms
Mailman has started returning some errors since upgrading to version 126. Each of these errors can be seen in the Mailman error log file:
- /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/logs/error
KeyError: 0
sequence item 0: expected str instance, bytes found
Membership search returns to the general options page
'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0x91
No module named 'iterators'
AttributeError: 'Message' object has no attribute 'policy'
Description
Upgrading from v124 to v126 includes a Python change for Mailman. Mailman is being upgraded to Python 3. These problems that started to appear are likely related to some coding changes between Python 2 and Python 3.
We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is HB-8199. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.

Update: HB-8199 is solved in the following cPanel & WHM version(s) and newer:
