How to Get a cPanel Trial License

This trial provides full access to the cPanel interface and core functionality for a limited period—ideal for testing server setup, exploring features, or building a proof of concept.

Trial License Requirements

• Only one trial is permitted per static IP address
• The server must be publicly accessible via its IP address (no NAT/local-only networks)
• Trial licenses cannot be renewed or extended

How to Request a Trial License

1. Navigate to the cPanel Trial License Request page.
2. Fill out your information and the select Submit
3. Enter your server's public IP address when prompted.
4. Once submitted, your trial license will be issued immediately and automatically applied to that IP.

Verifying and Refreshing the License

After installing cPanel & WHM on your server and requesting the trial, you can refresh the license manually (if needed) by running the following command via SSH as the root user:

/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
