What is the Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) Fee?

The Extended Lifecycle Support is a support fee added to any license that is on an ip that is on an outdated operating system such as CentOS 7 and CloudLinux 7. All of our customers were notified of this fee on May 30, 2024.

While ELS offers a solution, we strongly recommend migrating to a supported operating system for long-term security and stability. cPanel offers migration tools to assist you in this process through ELevate and the Transfer Tool. The cPanel ELevate tool is designed to facilitate in-place upgrades between RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 based installations.
 
 
Opt-Out: Customers are required to migrate to a supported operating system if they do not wish to participate in the ELS program. NOTE: There is no option to opt out of the ELS program as it applies universally to all servers where CloudLinux 7 or CentOS 7 is detected.
