Permission denied: You do not have the required privileges to run “has_mycnf_for_cpuser”.

Symptoms

A reseller account tried to change a MySQL user's password for one of its accounts, but they receive the following error:

Permission Denied: you do not have the required privileges to run has_mycnf_for_cpuser.

Description 

In cPanel version 68, an update was made changing access permissions for resellers. You can read more on this here.

Workaround

To work around this, please try running this command to resolves the issue:

/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/fix_reseller_acls --add-default-privs --reseller $user
